Not only Facebook is not good for privacy, but not good in setting limits on how long the title on what you like. Seriously, if I wanted to see that, I would just go to MySpace. Plus, I’m surprised that the image is not a 1MB file (it happens to be about 164KB FYI).

So weirdly enough, I finally decided to check the notifications panel and see I have been invited to join at least 15 groups. But two caught my attention – the “Metallica shits on Green Day” group and the “If Anything Green Day Shits on Metallica” group. This has been going around my year level for about the past month and I have seen plenty of people trying to gain support for their own faction – if you can describe it.

Yes, its one of those competitions. Those competitions when you can try getting the most users, and its between my friends. Well actually, my friends on the Metallica side, and the other side is their friends. But why the hell did this competition start? Easy. The songs.

It is obvious that Metallica are better. Compare possibly the best two songs of each band, Enter Sandman and American Idiot. I rest my case.

Green Day are clearly one of the most epic bands of all time and as will soon be proven facebook agrees that green day is better!!!!!!!

So where do I stand on this? Neither. Because both efforts are totally crap. I don’t really care if either one is better than the other because I can’t really tell the difference – granted, it could be because I just like music because it sounds good and not by the actual artist. It’s also pretty sad if you think that Green Day vs Metallica is like a battle, because it isn’t. It’s basically “My dick is bigger than your dick” – but instead of the dicks, they are using groups.

So if you are going to convince me to join your sill groups, here’s a little message – go and f**k off!

Now, if your head stuck in that gutter. Better to pull yourself out of it.

If you haven’t noticed this on Facebook, there are thousands and thousands of groups promising you to change the Facebook theme, etc after inviting all of your friends. Yeah, while I haven’t personally tested if any of them work, it is obvious that it is entirely bulls**t. Yep, you got that right. You won’t be able to change back to the old Facebook design because you can’t – it is impossible to change it without the need of extensions like Greasemonkey, but that only just changes the CSS to make it look like the old theme.

So, here’s a hint. If you are going to send me, or anyone else, with that kind of nonsense – don’t.

I swear that every time I am on school holidays, I get weird status messages from people I added as “Friends” on Facebook. No, I am being serious. Below are some of the weird comments that I’m talking about – and yes, their pictures and (last) names have been blurred/blacked out because of something called privacy, that and they do go to my school.

Anyway, I’m introducing FCOW; and no, it’s not another website. FCOW stands for “Facebook Crap of the Week”, and I will recount the crap of status messages and updates on my Facebook profile (By the way, you can add me as a friend here). However, I am not going to reveal the identity of some of the people, mainly because of privacy issues and that I cannot really name them unless I have their permission.

OK, I’m not going to criticise his spelling, and his grammar; but, it seems that I don’t really want to know that she is like a gun to your head – and last time I checked, that’s a bad thing. Just got to love the crap on Facebook. I would also post photos, but I would have to blur faces and it does take a while – well, not really, but I just can’t give a stuff about doing it.

Another thing Facebook has is that you can read the comments of a friends post, especially those who aren’t your “friends” on Facebook, and it does bring in more crap, mainly because it does show up in my news feed every time I launch Facebook on my browser – and I don’t care if you have plans for the weekend or find that your “sundaiz are on my waiz”. I mean, come on, what the hell does that mean? Below is a comment transcript from someone who said “im bored” – and yes, his grammar is terrible.
